Based in Geraldton or FIFO 

Rate: $60.00 per hour

GHS Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sheetmetal Worker to join our growing team, either based in Geraldton or FIFO. 

This role offers a variety of work, including site-based projects throughout the Geraldton region and fabrication work in our Geraldton workshop.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products.
• Installing and working with EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) insulated panel systems.
• Working on commercial and industrial site projects throughout the Geraldton area.
• Completing workshop fabrication to a high standard.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and plans.
• Maintaining a safe and productive work environment. 

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator.
• Demonstrated experience installing and working with EPS insulated panel systems (essential).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans.
• TIG and MIG welding experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Requirements

• Trade Certificate – with roofing and cladding experience 
• Construction Industry White Card
• Drivers Licence (C Class)
• Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol testing
