Purpose of Position

GHS Solutions has an exciting opportunity an experienced Workshop Foreman supervising our team of boilermakers, fitters and machinists located in Geraldton.
GHS Solutions is a growing company in steel manufacturing and fabrication, fitting and machining for the construction and mining industries throughout Western Australia. Water Infrastructure is also an increasing field for GHS providing exciting opportunities for growth. 
Geographical Coverage - Permanently based in Geraldton.

Licences Required:

  • Trade Certificate (Boilermaker, Welder or Fitter/Machinist)
  • First Aid Certificate (highly preferred)
  • Drivers Licence (MR or high preferred)
  • Construction Industry White Card
  • Forklift Licence (essential)
  • Police Clearance (essential)

Other Abilities:

  • Strong safety skillset to ensure the team holds their own, and others, safety at the forefront.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cosmopolitan team.
  • Ability to read and certify works to drawings
  • Ability to foster and grow a strong team based environment
  • Strong and precise communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of QA / QC including, but not limited to,  ITP/MDR and weld procedures
  • Sound computing skills, previous experience with SAP highly preferred
  • Weld inspection or qualification experience will be highly regarded    
  • Supervision exposure in the Water Utilities or Mining sectors will be highly regarded.
