This role is responsible for managing and strengthening an established portfolio of key clients while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities across regional Western Australia. Purpose of the Position The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sustainable business growth across all GHS divisions. The role balances the management of existing client relationships with strategic expansion into new markets, projects, and customer segments. You will work closely with operational and senior leadership to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and secure work aligned with GHS’s capabilities and long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities Manage and grow relationships with existing clients across mining, construction, rail and infrastructure sectors Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across regional Western Australia Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company objectives Prepare and coordinate quotes, tenders, proposals, and capability statements Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate scoping, pricing, and delivery alignment Monitor market trends, upcoming projects, and competitor activity Represent GHS at client meetings, site visits, and industry events Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting on opportunities and pipeline activity
About You You are a motivated and commercially driven professional with strong relationship-building skills and experience in industrial or engineering-based services. You will ideally have: Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management Background or exposure to mining and SMP including fabrication and scaffolding Strong understanding of mining, construction, rail, or oil & gas sectors Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with operational teams Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities
Requirements Current Australian Driver’s Licence Ability to travel throughout regional Western Australia as required Strong computer literacy (CRM, Microsoft Office, tender platforms)
