Working Boilermaker Supervisor

Salary range $90,000 - $130,000  

GHS Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Boilermaker Supervisor to join our team, based permanently in Geraldton, Western Australia.

This role is responsible for supervising fabrication and site-based SMP works while remaining hands-on in the workshop and on project sites. The position suits a strong trade professional with leadership experience who enjoys mentoring teams, coordinating site activities, and delivering high-quality fabrication and installation works.

Purpose of the Position

The Boilermaker Supervisor is responsible for leading workshop and site teams to safely deliver fabrication, SMP installation and maintenance works.

This role combines hands-on trade work with supervision, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard while supporting the ongoing development of the team.

You will work closely with project managers, estimators and operational leaders to coordinate resources, manage daily works and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise fabrication and site works across workshop and project locations
- Lead daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Coordinate labour, equipment and subcontractors for project works
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and site requirements
- Monitor productivity, quality and project progress
- Interpret drawings and ensure fabrication and installation meet specifications
- Assist with project planning, estimating and tender input where required
- Mentor and support tradespeople and apprentices
- Maintain strong client relationships on site and represent GHS professionally

About You

You are a hands-on leader with a strong trade background who enjoys guiding teams and delivering high-quality work.

You will ideally have:

- Minimum 2 years supervisory or leading hand experience
- Strong boilermaking / fabrication trade background
- Experience working within mining, SMP, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work and WHS requirements
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

Trade Certificate – Boilermaker / Fabrication
Construction Industry White Card
Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol testing
